	Fiberglass reinforced plastics Plastics have become a part of our everyday life. Verities of plastic are being used in various forms. With respect to there applications, plastics can be classified into commodity plastics and engineering plastics. Commodity plastics are mainly used in house hold application where as engineering plastics are those plastics which are superior in mechanical properties and used for various engineering and load bearing applications. It is the engineering plastics that are being reinforced with glass fiber to make FRP. Plastics are light, durable and easy to mould materials with excellent corrosion resistance. They can be easily molded into any complex shape with built-in colors, finishes and texture.
